Balsam Fir Essential Oil
This essential oil with a balsamic resinous scent is traditionally renowned for its toning properties and recommended to promote respiratory comfort as well as joint comfort.
Process of obtaining
Complete distillation by steam distillation, Part of the plant used:
Needles, Botanical name: Abies balsamea, Botanical family Pinaceae
Precautions
- Not recommended during the first three months of pregnancy.
- Irritating in its pure state, always use diluted (20% max) on the skin. - Keep out of reach of children.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- Certain natural compounds contained in this essential oil may present a risk of allergy in certain sensitive people when the essential oil is incorporated into a cosmetic composition: limonene.
- As a general rule, always do a test application of your preparation, in the crease of the elbow, at least 48 hours before using it.
