A general stimulant, this invigorating oil is renowned in cases of great physical or intellectual fatigue. Clove is traditionally used in cases of cavities and dental pain.

Process of obtaining

Steam distillation

Part of the plant used: Cloves Botanical name: Syzygium aromaticum, Family Myrtaceae

Precautions

  • Do not use in pregnant women (except during childbirth) or breastfeeding, or in children under 6 years old.
  • Dermocaustic oil, always use highly diluted (max 20% for very localized use) on the skin.
  • Use in limited quantities and over a short period (maximum 7 days).
  • Contraindicated in case of hepatic insufficiency.
  • In diffusion, only use diluted in milder essential oils, at a maximum of 5-10%.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Avoid contact with eyes.

Certain natural compounds contained in this essential oil may present a risk of allergy in certain sensitive individuals when the essential oil is incorporated into a cosmetic composition: eugenol.

As a general rule, always do a test application of your preparation, in the crease of the elbow, at least 48 hours before using it.
